Microvision Mikro-Projektor für Handys und PDAs

Der US-amerikanische Mikodisplay-Hersteller "Microvision" hat auf der Consumer Electronics Show 2007 (CES) in Las Vegas ein winziges Projektormodul vorgestellt, dass aufgrund seiner Größe theoretisch auch in Handys oder PDAs eingebaut werden könnte.

Das Modul soll vor allem die fernsehfähigen Handys und Smartphones sowie andere mobile Geräte mit Videoausgaben bereichern. Es ist 8 mm dünn und etwa so groß wie Apples iPod shuffle der zweiten Generation. Das Projektionsgerät arbeitet auf Basis von Microvisions Technik "Integrated Photonics Module (IPM)" und wird zunächst nur als Prototyp zu sehen sein.
